She was born June 15, 1911, in Superior to Hannah (Berzon) and Harry Titch. Florence was a graduate of Superior State Teachers College and had been employed as a teacher by the school district of Superior. She was preceded in death by her husband, Myer Shapiro; and three sisters. She is survived by her son, Harvey Dean (Paula M.) Shapiro; grandchildren Andrew Shapiro and his wife, Abigail Weinberg, and Samantha Meinetz Shapiro and her husband, Matthew Leader; great-grandson Jack Mariner Shapiro, all of New York, N.Y.; and sister Eudice Gallop of Minnetonka, Minn. FUNERAL SERVICE: 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 3, in the Downs Funeral Home, corner of Ogden Avenue and 19th Street, with Rabbi David Steinberg officiating. Interment will be at Superior Hebrew Cemetery.
